Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Enterprise Risk Management team.  Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Enterprise Risk team helps identify, evaluate, and manage risk exposure to protect a company’s reputation and assets. Specifically, our Enterprise Risk Management team helps organizations reduce uncertainty and seize new opportunities to increase stakeholder value.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectations

  • Assist clients in proactively prioritizing and managing their business risk

  • Develop enterprise risk/operational risk management programs

  • Contribute to business development processes including research and analysis, writing and developing proposals as well as working with the engagement lead to develop tailored project plans and work programs

  • Carry out fieldwork including client interviews and workshops

  • Analyze risk information and develop risk metrics

  • Synthesize analyzed fieldwork into a well-written and concise report/presentation

  • Actively manage small project teams, engagement budgets and economics

  • Analyze current risk management processes relative to best practices and identify any gaps and provide solutions to mitigate risk

  • Identify and proactively bring opportunities and solutions to the attention of Senior Managers and Partners

  • Develop solutions through debate and discussion with our firm’s teams and with clients on a variety of engagements

  • Continuously share knowledge and actively contribute to developing the teams knowledge base through taking part in L&D opportunities, professional associations, industry groups and MNP thought leadership events

Credentials

  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Seven + years of relevant risk management consulting experience gained within a public accounting firm or a risk management practice within a mid-size or large corporation

  • An accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA or CPA)

  • A relevant risk management designation and/or MBA designation strongly preferred

  • Strong business sense and ability to understand a “big picture” view of risk and exposures as they pertain to a business

  • Knowledge of leading Risk Management Frameworks such as COSO Integrated Enterprise Risk Management Framework and/or ISO 31000

  • Well-developed interviewing skills and the ability to understand and document risks, root causes, impacts and mitigation

  • Experience identifying and quantifying threats, risks and opportunities

  • Computer literate and familiar with technology relating to Risk methodologies
