    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Consultant for our growing Corporate Insolvency team. Committed to helping all stakeholders through financial challenges, MNP Limited is one of the largest insolvency practices in Canada. For more than 50 years, our experienced team of Government-Licensed Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests.



     Performance Expectations

    • Obtain and review all relevant background information relating to the engagement such as clients’ assets, liabilities and transactions
    • Prepare schedules, reports and other documents to convey corporate recovery requirements
    • Secure assets, business premises and operations of companies under formal appointments
    • Manage sales processes and collection of accounts receivable
    • Assist troubled companies; advise lenders, creditors or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, financial restructuring (formal or informal), bankruptcies and liquidations
    • Liaise with the corporate recovery team to build recover strategies to meet the needs of companies, creditors and lenders by identifying refinancing options, business assessments and viability studies
    • Interface with key external stakeholders in the implementation of the engagement
    • Ensure clients receive accurate and timely information
    • Monitor engagement timelines against pre-determined targets and address situations where necessary
    • Conduct file review at predetermined milestones
    • Ensure a consistent approach and compliance with policies and legislation as they relate to insolvency
    • Effectively interpret policy and legislative provisions
    • Ensure engagements offer tangible, timely value added deliverables that are realistic and obtainable
    • Confer with managers and partners regarding course of action, level of risk and whether to accept engagement
    • Provide input to the outline, objectives and priorities of an insolvency business plan
    • Provide feedback and recommendations with respect to improving and enhancing progress towards realization of strategy and goals
    • Attend professional development courses, seminars, workshops and meetings on a regular basis
    • Identify and initiate relevant courses for self-development
    • Take initiative to share learning experiences and new acquired knowledge with team members
    • Establish and maintain effective communication, information flow and rapport between insolvency team, creditors, lawyers, clients and external agencies
    • Liaise with external team members and ensure client information is processed in an accurate and timely fashion and according to pre-defined milestones
    • Ensure a high standard of performance and a strong customer service orientation by providing regular feedback to direct reports and developing procedures and standards
    • Provide guidance to more junior team members in the analysis of financial data and preparation of recommendations to clients


    • Hold a degree or diploma in a relevant field
    • Bilingual (French reading and writing)
    • CPA or equivalent designation is considered an asset
    • Completion of the Insolvency Administrator Course is considered an asset
    • Five (5) years of experience in professional services industry; preference for experience in corporate insolvency and corporate restructuring
    • Experience preparing, developing and analyzing cash-flow models
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with Insolvency Manager software
    • Must be able to work outside of regular business hours
    • Some travel to client sites is expected
