Join the momentum. We are seeking a Network and Communication Administrator for our growing Technology team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Driving innovation throughout the firm, our Technology team provides industry-leading solutions that enable MNP to better serve our clients and people. We deliver on the strategic needs of service lines, industry and specialty groups, and operations at all levels throughout the firm. Our specialists develop, enable and support initiatives that allow MNP to deliver client service, collaborate, communicate and operate reliably and efficiently.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectations

  • Manage and maintain MNP’s network and communications infrastructure including wide area networks, ISP communications and IP phone system management
  • Ensure the integrity of the network and help reduce or eliminate downtime by troubleshooting system problems, monitoring network usage and performing scheduled maintenance
  • Keep up with current and new technologies and architecture as it relates to the role
  • Configure and deploy network switches, routers and firewalls
  • Configure QoS on VLANs to support VOIP and other applications
  • Maintain firewall policies and routing tables
  • Maintain up-to-date firmware on switches, routers and firewalls
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of network layout, switch configurations, routing tables and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs)
  • Identify and close potential security risks
  • Monitor network for high usage, outages and performance bottlenecks
  • Configure and manage VPN connectivity from both our edge devices and workstation clients
  • Create and maintain Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
  • Configure, monitor, and secure wireless networks
  • Manage account creation and deletion for wireless access
  • Configure and maintain radius servers used for authentication
  • Work closely with external vendors, as needed, to troubleshoot network related issues

Credentials

  • Completion of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent education preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of related work experience with supporting switching and routing environments
