Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing Computer Forensic Services team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Forensics team combines accounting and investigative expertise to resolve fraud emergencies. Our professionals conduct assessments that gauge an organization’s vulnerability to fraud and help implement anti-fraud controls to reduce exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.



Performance Expectations

  • Responsible for the management and execution of Computer Forensic client engagements
  • Acquire, preserve, recover, analyse and present digital evidence from computers and other digital media related to civil and criminal matters
  • Retrieve information from computers and other types of data storage devices including information that has been hidden, encrypted or damaged
  • Use forensic tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data, including Internet use history, word processing documents, images and other files
  • Analyse mobile phone records to trace devices to a particular location
  • Follow electronic data to establish links between individuals, groups and events
  • Carefully document each stage of an investigation and write detailed reports of findings
  • Present technical findings to clients, legal counsel, law enforcement and courts, when required
  • Actively participate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, budgets and deadlines
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and the integration of new technology and/or approaches in order to improve work processes
  • Monitor project timelines against targets and adjust scope where necessary; advise clients of project status on a timely basis
  • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
  • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions


  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Computer Forensic Specialist with a minimum of five (5) years experience
  • Possess a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or similar digital forensics certification
  • Proven ability to manage an engagement from acquisition, analysis and reporting to a court standard
  • Experience and comfort using Computer Forensic programs such as, XWays, Axiom, Encase, FTK, Intella and Cellebrite
  • Proficient in the use of standard business software, such as Outlook, MS Word and Excel in the preparation of business materials and reporting
  • Ambition to develop a practice in Vancouver and BC in digital evidence recovery and analysis
  • A creative approach to solving problems
  • Proficiency in file management, detailed documentation and continuity of exhibits
  • Willing to travel to support clients across BC and, as needed, across Canada
  • Ability and experience in providing expert witness testimony an asset
  • Fluent in English and other languages an asset, but not required
