Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Technology Consulting team.  Driving business excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and consulting firm in Canada. Our Consulting team works with organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to provide innovative strategies tailored to maximize efficiencies, enhance performance and increase profitability. Specifically, our recognized Technology Consulting team works with clients to translate technology issues and opportunities into meaningful results that meet organizational needs.



Performance Expectations

  • Provide strategic IT consulting services to a wide range or MNP's clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors including IT Strategy and Planning, Process Redesign, System Selection, Implementation Project Management, Implementation Reviews and IT Systems Optimization
  • Responsible for the delivery of consulting services such as program evaluation, strategic planning, business planning and business process improvement
  • Lead complex projects and undertake the leadership of teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and within the client specifications to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction
  • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlines
  • Perform team management and coordination to align project resources and activities to project work plans
  • Prepare technical components of the project relating to one’s area of expertise
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining findings, facts and highlights resulting from the client engagement
  • Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlines
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training and mentoring of junior team members
  • Lead in the collection, development, research and analysis of data including website research, review of reports, interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Provide comprehensive business advice by effectively identifying and analyzing clients’ needs
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
  • Support internal communication, accountability and feedback within and across our project teams
  • Participate in the ongoing business development and marketing of MNP Consulting services to new and existing clients and establish network consisting of key decision makers, nurturing contacts
  • Draft and prepare business development proposals
  • Contact new and existing clients to schedule a needs assessment and outline services and successes of MNP to grow the business
  • Execute written and oral presentations to internal stake holders and clients
  • Design, develop and deliver final report sand/or presentations to client
  • Monitor the progress of work being completed on client projects and coach team
  • Coach and engage project team ensuring an understanding of project parameters, overall plan, time commitment and expectations
  • Facilitate client relationships with MNP and teams to deliver client service excellence
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
  • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
  • Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptly
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
  • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews


  • Possess a relevant Bachelor’s Degree and/or Graduate Degree; preference given to candidates who possess a Master’s Degree in business, public administration or other related field
  • Over 10 years of strategic IT experience in a consulting environment is preferred
  • Completion of additional certifications (e.g. PMP, ITIL, CMC, CPHR, CMA, CPA, CFE,) are considered an asset
  • Experience working with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
  • Professional experience in the provision of IT Strategy and Planning, Process Redesign, System Selection, Implementation Reviews and IT Systems Optimization
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A developed network within the business community is considered a strong asset
  • Some travel may be required
