Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing International Corporate Tax team. Providing the highest level of excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Tax team works with individuals and organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors providing comprehensive strategies that minimize risk, meet tax compliance and reporting requirements, drive efficiencies and maximize returns. Specifically, our International Corporate Tax team helps multinational businesses in Canada, the U.S., and other foreign jurisdictions address their cross-border needs and reduces tax exposure.  



Performance Expectations

  • Responsible for planning and compliance work involving the implementation of advanced off-shore tax planning strategies and an innovative approach to solving international tax problems
  • Plan for Canadian entities that are carrying on business in foreign countries
  • Advise on which type of legal entity to use
  • Design structures in number countries in order to reduce the worldwide effective tax rate for clients
  • Plan, involving off-shore captive insurance companies, the sale of foreign business or corporations and the use of non-resident trusts
  • Plan for surplus repatriations
  • Review T106 and T1134 reporting forms regarding foreign affiliates
  • Plan for non-residents of Canada that are either carrying on business in Canada or planning to commence carrying on business in Canada
  • Prepare Canadian income tax returns for foreign controlled entities
  • Attend professional development courses, seminars, workshops and meetings
  • Participate in service line calls and meetings
  • Participate in the MNP Annual International Tax Conference
  • Write articles and blogs for the MNP website on specific topics related to International Tax
  • Support the mission, vision, values and goals of the firm


  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in public practice, with a minimum of 2 years' experience at a Manager level
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or Member of the Bar
  • Considerable knowledge of public accounting practices in a large firm
  • Experience with a broad mix of clients
  • Business development experience
  • Comprehensive technical skills in tax efficiencies of cross-border flows
  • Superior knowledge of corporate tax including consulting, compliance and research within International Tax
  • Strong knowledge of working with clients to evaluate and understand the tax impact of their business, operations and transactions in multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong research and analysis skills to creatively devise solutions for complicated tax issues
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching people and teams
