Join the momentum. We are seeking a Human Capital Advisor for a Maternity Leave Contract, to join our growing Human Capital team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectations

  • Work with Regional Human Capital (RHC) team to conduct role evaluations, post job requisitions and confirm recruitment plan to attract top talent
  • Pro-actively manage the candidate experience and prepare candidates by acting as an ambassador for the organization, provide detailed information on career opportunities, Firm values, culture, business and total rewards (update Applicant Tracking System (ATS))
  • Recruit and select new hires based on their knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Conduct both exit and stay interviews to manage and identify areas for improvement in retention and engagement
  • Manage Firm terminations as appropriate, escalate as required, produce documentation and ensure proper Human Resource Information System (HRIS) updates
  • Support workplace diversity initiatives
  • In collaboration with Talent Advisors, coach hiring leaders through the talent acquisition process for new team members
  • Network on behalf of MNP in support of our talent brand
  • Lead consistency of performance targets, relevance of targets, process for promotions, transfers, job classifications, compensation and annual performance evaluations
  • Project manage promotions, transfers, job classifications and annual performance evaluations
  • Facilitate Human Capital (HC) team training sessions
  • Identify and address issues that impact morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity
  • Assist in resolving work related issues including participation in dispute resolution meetings
  • Integrate new MNP offices and team members to the Firm’s standards and policies
  • Directly manage talent pools for succession following annual performance cycle
  • Performance coach team members
  • Consult and mentor on issues related to legal, procedural, compliance, employee relations, problem resolution, total rewards and performance management
  • Provide consultation to team members and Partners on a wide range of HC issues including the application and understanding of policies, guidelines, disciplinary issues, legal matters, performance management, employee relations, recruitment and developmental opportunities ensuring alignment with Firm objectives
  • Connect with Firm HC and peers in other regions to drive a “One-Firm Approach”
  • Perform presentations for MNP internal business, lead and facilitate workgroups, teams and meetings
  • Serve as a link between senior leadership, Partners and team members by managing inquiries, employee relations and educating on self-service options
  • Responsible for the consistency of regional implementation based on Firm direction within the framework of MNP’s culture and standards
  • Remain up-to-date on existing and forthcoming legislation to determine HR impact on the organization and region
  • Analyze statistical reports to identify and determine trends
  • Independently lead complex projects as assigned
  • Leverage Firm direction, design compensation approach and ensure the efficient delivery of our annual compensation cycle as it relates to classifications, base pay and variable pay
  • Participate in and conduct annual salary submissions, including job matching and related data, within specific deadlines
  • Maintain the security of team member records and appropriate retention periods for documents
  • Ensure that HC services are delivered within the framework of MNP’s Learning & Development (L&D) programs
  • Consult and be accountable for regional facilitation of L&D administration and programs
  • Participate in Human Resources Associations as required to maintain professional standards
  • Attend relevant workshops, seminars and conferences and apply learning to workplace

Credentials

  • Completion of post-secondary education and accreditation with HR specialty or related academics
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in progress or completed
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated HR leadership experience
  • Experience working in a Professional Services environment considered an asset
  • Willingness to travel to other offices in the Okanagan region and Kamloops
