Join the momentum. We are seeking a Consultant for our growing Enterprise Risk Management team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Enterprise Risk team helps identify, evaluate and manage risk exposure to protect a company’s reputation and assets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectations

  • Work with companies across various industries, interact and develop relationships with clients, and develop your business process and risk management skills
  • Provide IT audit services, including Service Organisation Controls audits (SOC1 / CSAE3416 / SSAE16 / ISAE 3403; SOC2; and SOC3), IT internal audits, IT testing for external audits, and IT testing for CEO / CFO requirements, to a broad base of clients
  • Provide IT risk consulting and advisory services, in areas such as cyber security, privacy, system conversions, business process controls, IT governance, risk and controls
  • Assist in IT audit planning, prepare IT test procedures, document, and test IT controls
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement

Credentials

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commerce majoring in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant degree
  • Possess, or in the process of obtaining professional certifications, such as CIA, CPA, CISA, CISM, or other relevant designations
  • Relevant IT audit and internal controls experience is a definite asset
  • Experience with SOC audits and assessments is highly desired
  • Possess a strong understanding of business and audit risks
  • Knowledge and understanding of control frameworks and standards, including COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001/2 are an asset
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • One (1) to three (3) years of IT audit experience or relevant external audit experience with a focus on IT processes and controls
  • Some travel may be required
