    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing Valuation and Litigation Support team. Committed to delivering real value to organizations, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Through our trusted Valuation and Litigation Support team, our Chartered Business Valuators work with our extensive network of industry specialists to deliver independent, concise valuations assessments in a wide range of areas. These include, business valuations, intangible assets, financial reporting requirements, fairness opinions and litigation support.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Responsible for the scoping and execution of valuations for engagements requiring transaction pricing, regulatory and financial reporting, income tax or estate planning and strategic decision making
    • Accountable for business valuations, intellectual property valuations, fairness opinions, financial modelling, purchase price allocations, damage quantifications and litigation support work
    • Lead industry and market financial research and identify valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions
    • Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles, responsibilities, and deadlines as well as to research and understand the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance, as well as key strengths and challenges
    • Prepare technical based analysis such as projections, forecasts and/or models in Excel and valuation models to arrive at estimates of value
    • Prepare concise and well written reports and present findings to client engagement team
    • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
    • Manage project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done by other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Develop, coach, and train team members towards professional and personal development
    • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional, business, and community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
    • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities

    Credentials

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce with a specialization in accounting or finance
    • Bilingual (English and French, written and spoken)
    • Completion of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation
    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience at a professional services firm, most of which in a financial analysis and valuations role
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Some travel may be required
