Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Technology Risk Services - Data Analytics team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Enterprise Risk team helps identify, evaluate and manage risk exposure to protect a company’s reputation and assets. Specifically, our Technology Risk Services team identifies and addresses enterprise issues, improves business performance, and assists with IT governance and strategy, information security and privacy, IT controls evaluation, design and implementation, and control assurance and framework alignment.



Performance Expectations

  • Conducting client meetings and data gathering activities to ensure a sound understanding of clients’ business processes and potential measurements to aid in the identification of the analytical approach. Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
  • Understanding client needs and processes, where data resides and what it means, and working to identify and obtain data that is relevant, useful and has integrity
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status
  • Collecting, cleaning, analyzing, testing, and interpreting relevant data 
  • Documenting information, analytics processes and results obtained in a clear and concise manner
  • Implementing the automation of standard analytical procedures (data extraction, analysis, visualization, reporting and output monitoring), on an as needed basis
  • Continually building partnerships with various business areas and team members throughout MNP
  • Day-to-day management of projects and initiatives (i.e. oversight, documentation, progress report)
  • Designing and providing training to educate team members on the effective use of data management tools and process
  • Contributing to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
  • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional, business, and community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptly
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
  • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement
  • Some travel may be required


  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, MIS or related fields of expertise, or equivalent experience
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience with data analytics
  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical problem solving
  • Solid understanding of databases structures
  • Experience with a range of data tools; for example: ACL, IDEA, Alteryx, PowerBI and Tableau. Experience with SPSS, SAS and Informatica would be an asset
  • Experience in combining data virtualization principles with storytelling
  • Experience with at least one language like SQL, R, Python and MatLab
  • Strong communication, presentation, business and technical writing skills
  • Working experience in audit internal controls, consulting, IT or risk management fields are highly preferred
  • Experience with Accounting systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, Sage50) is preferred
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with both internal and external customers is strongly preferred
  • Awareness of emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
