Join the momentum. We are currently seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant for our growing Corporate Insolvency team. Committed to helping all stakeholders through financial challenges, MNP Limited is one of the largest insolvency practices in Canada. For more than 50 years, our experienced team of Government-Licensed Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectation

  • Setup initial files, including importing creditor lists, linking assets, banking setup and administration
  • Prepare and file documentation related to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
  • Complete an accounting of funds received and disbursed for insolvency estates using Ascend and Quicken and manage other corporate banking functions
  • Process documents related to closures of estates, including preparation of taxation and discharge packages
  • Communicate with CRA on a regular basis as well as file HST and other government returns
  • Communicate with other stakeholders in the Insolvency process
  • Complete other administrative tasks such as, creditor mailings and inquiries, overseeing proof of claim and WEPPA claim administration
  • Provide administrative support to the Corporate Restructuring partners and other team members and service lines, as required

Credentials

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in an administrative or support position preferably in a professional or corporate restructuring environment
  • Completion or enrollment in the BIA Administrator Program and a diploma in Business Administration would be assets
  • Understanding of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act or equivalent work experience
  • Expert level technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel), and Quicken / Ascend or equivalent finance software
