Join the momentum. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for our growing Investigative and Forensics team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Forensics team combines accounting and investigative expertise to resolve fraud emergencies. Our professionals conduct assessments that gauge an organization’s vulnerability to fraud and help implement anti-fraud controls to reduce exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectations

  • Performing detailed work involving the coordination and communication of confidential information and the implementation of administrative resources and processes to support the team in providing quality client service
  • Preparing of correspondence and liaising with clients
  • Support the design, development, formatting and proof reading of high quality professional reports, proposals, presentations and correspondence
  • Process expense reports and prepare client billings
  • Participate in forensic team meetings on a regular basis
  • Uphold electronic and paper filing systems
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
  • Perform other office support duties as required

Credentials

  • (5) Five years experience in an Administrative role working in a professional environment, ideally as administrative support in a law office working for litigators
  • Post-secondary education related to administrative support considered an asset
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint at an intermediate level and demonstrated experience using these programs in a previous role
  • Experience with MS Visio or other analytical software considered an asset
  • Comfortable reading and understanding legal documents
  • Demonstrate aptitude in dealing with private and confidential information
  • Knowledge and experience working with filing systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill
