    Join the momentum at MNP, as we are seeking a Manager for our growing Cross-Border Services team. Providing the highest level of excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Tax team works with individuals and organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors providing comprehensive strategies that minimize risk, meet tax compliance and reporting requirements, drive efficiencies and maximize returns. Specifically, our Cross-Border Services team provides businesses and their employees with taxation advice regarding domestic and foreign assignments to meet compliance and help mitigate their risk. The team also provides U.S. and Canadian residents with taxation advice related to all aspects of cross-border tax compliance and planning.




    Performance Expectations

    • Working closely with Partners and Senior Managers, manage tax planning and compliance engagements for individuals with U.S. and Canadian tax requirements
    • Work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment focusing on cross-border taxation needs of our clients
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to professional and junior staff by overseeing, reviewing and instructing work
    • Develop strong client relationships by providing high quality, timely, and innovative tax services to our clients


    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Canada with U.S. designation CPA or EA
    • Strong technical background in individual Canadian, U.S.and cross-border taxation issues with a solid understanding of Canada - U.S. Income Tax Treaty
    • Knowledge and experience working in both Canadian and U.S.  individual tax compliance and planning
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proven track record in building client relationships and mentoring
    • Experience in effectively managing and leading teams
    • Comfortable with tax research methods and databases
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, supervising and mentoring staff while managing multiple work flows
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and research issues and translate to meaningful solutions for our clients
