Be part of the momentum. We are currently seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant to join our Consulting team for an 8 month term position. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Strategically supporting the firm, our Administration team anticipates the needs of our team members and Partners. We effectively communicate information for service lines, industry and specialty groups, and operations at all levels throughout the firm. Our administrators support initiatives and ensure efficiency, allowing MNP to better serve our clients and people.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Performance Expectations

  • Provide Self-Employment (SE) Program information to potential clients
  • Receive application packages, review for completeness, perform MOBIUS checks to confirm eligibility, and set up interviews for prospective client(s)
  • Develop and coordinate training schedules and maintain relationships with workshop facilitators, both internal and external
  • Assist with scheduling and organizing monthly networking events for program participants
  • Provide ongoing support to program participant inquiries
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day administrative tasks including preparing client contracts, client binders, resource materials, orientation materials and PowerPoint presentations, filling, and general administration, as required
  • Coordinate Training Room and SE Program workshop activities including training room set-up and clean-up, greeting clients, etc.
  • Review instructor evaluations daily and ensure that both the Program coordinator and workshop facilitator accesses each evaluation
  • Schedule and coordinate one-on-one Business Plan reviews with business advisor and clients, Strategy Session Facilitators and panel discussions, luncheons and networking events
  • Field complaints and concerns from SE Program participants and address or redirect as needed
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and bring to the attention of the Program Manager
  • Assist in meeting Program quota objectives and success targets
  • Maintain and update internal client information database with participant status for reporting, record-keeping and invoicing purposes
  • Assist with reporting and billing processes monthly including preparing statistics and outcomes as per contract
  • Open, maintain, and update client MOBIUS and hardcopy records

Credentials

  • Completion of related post-secondary education in administration or business is an asset
  • Experience working with Mobius – Alberta Secure Access Service or a similar client tracking system is required
  • Relevant experience with program coordination and particularly with delivery of entrepreneurial training programs
  • Strong computer literacy including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Understanding of and experience with Social Media Platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are an asset
