    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Estate Administrator for our growing Insolvency team. Committed to helping all stakeholders through financial challenges, MNP Limited is one of the largest insolvency practices in Canada. For more than 50 years, our experienced team of Government-Licensed Insolvency Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests.



    Performance Expectations


    • Assist and manage in the delivery of full range consumer insolvency services, from answering potential calls to file closure
    • Meet with individuals and proprietors who are in financial difficulty to assess their situation, and assist them in understanding the options available to them to resolve their debt
    • Administer formal consumer insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, consumer and Division I proposals
    • Other duties dependant on experience, but can include: Preparing statutory documents including sign up documents including Statement of Affairs, Notice of Disallowance, Section 170 Reports, Mediation, Certificate of Discharge, Trustee’s Supplementary Report to Court, Interim and Final Statement of Receipts and Disbursements, prepare and distribute final documentation, billings, dividends, statements and other distributions for Trustee application for discharge, schedule, monitor and follow up on all aspects of insolvency file administration including correspondence, creditor meetings, asset verification, proof of claim, surplus income requirements, proposal compliance, counselling, claims register, Court appointment dates, Court Orders, mediation, determination on eligibility of discharge from bankruptcy and certificate of full compliance
    • Assist in e-filing relevant documents in a timely manner with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB) and other correspondence.
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from junior team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Assist in training, developing and coaching junior team members
    • Maintain and develop current and future referral sources, networking
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Promote MNP insolvency and advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement




    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in a relevant field
    • Completion of the Insolvency Administrator Course
    • Completion of the BIA Counsellors Course
    • Commissioner of Oaths for Alberta
    • Good understanding of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Consumer Insolvency Practice
    • The ability to establish excellent working relationships with clients and co-workers;
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Ascend, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong organizational skills, work well under pressure and flexible
    • Extremely detail-orientated, attention to detail is very important in this role
    • Some travel may be required
