    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing Enterprise Risk Services team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Enterprise Risk team helps identify, evaluate and manage risk exposure to protect a organization’s reputation and assets. Specifically, our Internal Audit Services team works with management to develop internal audit solutions that promote transparent governance and help fortify internal controls, prevent unethical reporting and assist in safeguarding assets.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Responsible for the delivery of risk management and performance/VFM, compliance and internal audit services to a wide array of clients, with a preferred focus on public sector clients
    • Determine performance, compliance, internal audit scope, programs, criteria and procedures to fully execute audits
    • Lead and execute governance, risk management and audit engagements
    • Document detailed process and control narratives and prepare findings
    • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding rules, regulations, leading practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
    • Manage project financials (i.e. budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
    • Deliver value through the provision of high quality client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, objectives, materiality and deadlines
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
    • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
    • Communicate frequently with clients and MNP team members via verbal, written or presentation formats
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve MNP processes
    • Participate in the development of new market opportunities for services and client engagement
    • Identify ways to establish and maximize relationships with clients
    • Promote collaboration, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Attend internal MNP and external courses and conferences to further develop knowledge, build relationships and deepen MNP’s market presence

    Credentials

    • Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and/or Certified Internal Audit (CIA) designation
    • An Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Administration (MPA) would be considered an asset 
    • Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant work experience, most of which is in Performance (VFM), Compliance and/or Internal Audit
    • Proven communication – written, verbal and presentation – capabilities are required
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools
    • Information technology (IT) controls knowledge or relevant credentials would be an additional valued asset
    • Some travel may be required
    • Please note that lesser qualified applicants may be considered for positions at a junior level
