    Join the momentum. We are seeking an experienced Manager for our growing Cyber Security Services team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Cyber Security team helps identify, evaluate and manage risk exposure to protect a company’s reputation and assets. Specifically, our team identifies and addresses cyber security challenges, tests the resiliency against cyber-attacks, assists with IT governance and strategy, reviews and advises on defensive controls and offers advice on information security and privacy for all types of clients.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Deliver industry and technical expertise in information security through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and the creation of high quality deliverables
    • Execute client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlines
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
    • Develop business relationships through new and existing contacts and drive Cyber Security opportunities with existing MNP clients
    • Monitor project timelines against targets and adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status
    • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional and business community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Develop, coach and train team members towards professional and personal development
    • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews
    • Promote collaboration, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Attend external and internal courses to further develop knowledge, build relationships and identify opportunities for personal and business growth

    Credentials

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science (or related field) or a Technical Diploma in computer technology
    • Minimum five (5) years of experience in security and privacy services including defining and implementing cyber security solutions
    • Experience with security solutions such as authentication and authorization, IDS/IPS, 2-factor authentication, SIEM, anti-malware, network access control and data loss prevention including architecting, configuration and installation
    • Knowledge of various frameworks/regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, GDPR, SOX, ITIL, COBIT or similar
    • Understanding of security and privacy regulatory/legislative compliance (i.e. OSFI, Interac, PCI, PIPEDA, etc.)
    • Excellent understanding of security services such as penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, architecture reviews, etc.
    • Experience delivering security services such as threat risk assessments, Payment Card Industry (PCI) audits, cyber security maturity and risk assessments, incident response reviews, etc.
    • Ability to present ideas in context, which can be understood by technical, business and non-IT users (including executives and board members)
    • Solution focused and proven skills in critical thinking and ability to build consensus among stakeholders
    • Demonstrated experience in setting/monitoring operational metrics to drive positive service outcomes
    • Experience in business and practice development
    • Government Security Clearance considered an asset
    • Some travel required
