    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Valuations team. Committed to delivering real value to organizations, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Through our trusted Valuations team, our Chartered Business Valuators and Accredited Appraisers work with our extensive network of industry specialists to deliver independent, concise valuations assessments in a wide range of areas. These include, business valuations, intangible assets, financial reporting requirements, property tax recovery, fairness opinions, litigation support, and appraisal services.


    We are now seeking to add leadership to develop our complex financial instruments practice. The Senior Manager will work with the Valuations Partnership Group to develop and execute on a national business development plan. Reporting to the national leader of Valuations, this high profile role will present ongoing career opportunities to the right individual.



    Performance Expectations

    • Work with Partners across the country to meet the needs of their clients
    • Responsible for the development and execution of valuations for engagements relating to the fair value of a variety of complex financial instruments using option pricing and fixed income models, Monte Carlo simulations and other financial engineering techniques
    • Accountable for assisting clients in valuing financial derivatives, options, warrants, swaps and executive compensation plans
    • Build and prepare technical based analysis such as projections, forecasts and/or models in Excel
    • Keep up to date on market trends in order to assess and improve current approaches
    • Understand fair value requirements in connection with financial reporting
    • Manage and perform multiple valuation engagements
    • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional, business and community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
    • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities


    • Completion of a Master’s Degree with a specialization in financial engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science, finance or equivalent experience
    • Completion of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation considered an asset
    • Five (5) to Eight (8) years of relevant experience at a professional services firm, most of which in a financial analysis and valuations role
    • Technical knowledge in connection with fair value of financial instrument IFRS and US GAAP preferred
    • Experience in valuing complex securities using financial engineering techniques
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of financial engineering or statistical software, Matlab, Microsoft Excel, R, Capital IQ and Crystal Ball
    • Some travel may be required
