    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Consultant for our growing Consulting Services - Energy and Natural Resources team. Ensuring our clients stay at the forefront of this constantly evolving sector, MNP’s multi-disciplined Energy and Natural Resources team provides a variety of solutions designed for process improvement, organizational development and regulatory support. As a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm, our extensive experience with public sector departments and agencies, energy companies and other industry stakeholders ensures we provide the strategies these companies need to stay competitive and prosper.



    Performance Expectations

    • Team collaboration, coordination and management to align project resources and activities to project work plans and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
    • Internal communication, accountability and feedback within and across our project teams.
    • Financial modeling, including the development and analysis of alternative management or investment scenarios from financial models and financial projections.
    • Project research through primary interviews with stakeholders and secondary research from leading publications;
    • Development of project deliverables, including planning, analysis and report preparation.
    • Client management support activities including project status updates and project reporting.
    • External communication of findings and recommendations to senior executives and Boards.
    • Support business building activities, including leading and assisting with proposal preparation and marketing.
    • Support the growth and evolution of the consulting practice with an emphasis on the energy and natural resource sectors. 


    • Minimum three to five years of Consulting or strategic advisory experience gained within a mid-size or large corporation.
    • The completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a Math, Science, Economics, Engineering or Business.
    • Additional designations (e.g. PEng, MBA, CPA, CA or CMA, PMP) preferred.
    • A demonstration of advanced project management and organizational skills and tactics.
    • Industry qualifications within the (Electricity, Gas and/or Natural Resource) sectors should include one or several of the following:
    • Technical business development and transaction support, including financial modeling and analysis of Energy or Natural Resource technology, projects, assets or companies.
    • Operations or policy experience within a Utility, Power Producer, Energy Regulator/Ministry.
    • Operations experience with large capital projects.
    • Knowledge of regulatory processes within Energy markets.
    • Knowledge of energy and sustainability policy and initiatives including cap and trade, conservation and demand management programs, and/or renewable and community energy development.
