    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager for our growing Transfer Pricing team. Providing the highest level of excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Tax team works with individuals and organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors providing comprehensive strategies that minimize risk, meet tax compliance and reporting requirements, drive efficiencies and maximize returns. Specifically, our Transfer Pricing team works with clients to develop transfer pricing strategies that mitigate the risk of transfer pricing adjustments and penalties.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Lead multiple client facing engagement teams responsible for transfer pricing engagements
    • Accountable for the delivery of industry and technical expertise relating to complex transfer pricing concepts and issues through high quality deliverables such as: client interactions, reports, technical work, and management presentations
    • Develop and deliver quality transfer pricing and economic strategies that are practical, defensible and consistent with clients’ overall corporate strategy
    • Defend transfer pricing in audits, and develop tax planning approaches
    • Analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance
    • Manage project financials (budgets, WIPS, timely billing and collection and variance recognition)
    • Correspond with team members and clients in response to specific transfer pricing queries
    • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs
    • Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlines
    • Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
    • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional, business, and community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
    • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Develop, coach, and train team members towards professional and personal development
    • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop accounting and assurance knowledge

     

    Credentials

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, accounting, or a related field; a Master’s Degree in business, economics, statistics or finance would be considered an asset
    • CPA designation, CBV designation, or CFA charter holder is considered an asset
    • Four (4) to eight (8) years of experience in public accounting, at least three (3) of which was working with Transfer Pricing projects
    • Extensive knowledge of financial analysis and modeling
    • Experience writing client reports and performing analytical research
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Travel required
