    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Technology Consulting team. Driving business excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Consulting team works with organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to provide innovative strategies tailored to maximize efficiencies, enhance performance and increase profitability. Specifically, our recognized Technology Consulting team works with clients to translate technology issues and opportunities into meaningful results that meet organizational needs.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Provide and lead strategic IT consulting services to a wide range of MNP clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors including IT Strategy and Planning, Business Alignment and Enablement, Process Redesign, Solution Design, System Selection, Project Management, Implementation Reviews and IT Systems Optimization
    • Responsible for the delivery of consulting services such as strategic and operational planning, business and IT transformation, business process improvement, performance optimization, organizational effectiveness and risk assessment
    • Manage complex projects and undertake leadership of teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and within the client specifications to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction
    • Work collaboratively with clients to identify business opportunities including defining root causes of issues and developing innovative solutions that achieve client outcomes
    • Develop business defined solutions that include people, process and technology
    • Lead in the collection, development, research and analysis of data including website research, review of reports, interviews, focus groups and surveys
    • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining findings, facts and highlights resulting from the client engagement
    • Think strategically about client needs by quickly gaining an understanding of their business, their organization, operating environment and key risks
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas and project metrics
    • Perform team management and coordination to align project resources and activities to project work plans
    • Accountable for managing project financials (use of resources, budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection and variance recognition)
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
    • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
    • Promote MNP technology consulting services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
    • Remain actively involved in the business and IT business community in order to build a relationship network
    • Proactively meet with current and prospective clients to understand business needs and qualify opportunities
    • Provide leadership and subject matter experience in proposal development and solution design
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
    • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptly
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews

    Credentials

    • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, technology, engineering or another related field
    • Completion of a Master’s Degree is considered an asset
    • Eight (8) to nine (9) years of strategic IT experience in a consulting environment is preferred
    • Completion of additional certifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2, CBAP, CISSP, TOGAF, ITIL)
    • Strong financial and analytical capability
    • Experience in project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
    • Professional experience in IT Strategy and Planning, Business Alignment and Enablement, Business and IT Transformation, Process Redesign, Solution Design, System Selection, Project Management, Implementation Reviews and IT Systems Optimization
    • Experience in business and practice development
    • Experience in proposal development
    • Passion for innovation and application of technology to solve complex business problems
    • A developed network within the business and IT community is considered a strong asset
    • Some travel may be required
