    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Written Communications Specialist to join our growing Marketing team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Positioning the firm for success, our Marketing team supports the growth, business-generating efforts and goals of MNP. We develop and deliver creative and strategic programs that translate the firm’s objectives into market-appropriate media, messages and methodologies. We build and protect our brand in new and existing markets, as well as create and sustain market advantage in all service line, industry and specialty groups.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Work closely with the Written Communications Team to develop and manage “voice” for the firm
    • Ensure written communications are incorporated into all internal and external firm materials
    • Evaluate copy and ensure it evolves to continue to meet the needs of the audience
    • Brainstorm and develop ideas from concept to completion with quality control
    • Receive, review and distribute all advertising requests that include need for copy
    • Liaise with designers and Regional Marketing Managers
    • Work with stakeholders at all levels and gather information for compelling copy
    • Complete research to ensure content includes up-to-date information
    • Liaise with Regional Marketing Managers and MNP team members to ensure needs are maintained
    • Understand the nuances of voice and content for the different regions, services and industry specialty groups
    • Ensure all written communications meet MNP brand standards
    • Maintain awareness of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada standards and stipulations for rules in advertising
    • Research various mediums and effective creative that has been utilized in the media
    • Write content for a variety of publications that represent the firm (i.e. MPACT)
    • Work with internal team members to ensure content is client focused and relevant
    • Liaise with design team in the overall development of material
    • Coordinate translation of English copy to a variety of languages (primarily French)
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Raise awareness of MNP at community events
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop your marketing knowledge

    Credentials

    • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Creative Writing or Journalism
    • Minimum of five (5) years of written communication experience
    • Experience working in a Professional Services environment, particularly a national accounting or consulting firm, considered an asset
    • Demonstrate ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in French considered an asset
