    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Business Optimization for our growing Performance Improvement Consulting team. Driving business excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Consulting team works with organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to provide innovative strategies tailored to maximize efficiencies, enhance performance and increase profitability.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Provide and lead engagements that are specifically focused on performance improvement consulting and business process reviews
    • Contribute to the delivery of consulting services such as operational planning, business transformation, business process improvement, performance optimization, organizational effectiveness and risk assessment
    • Manage projects and undertake leadership of teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and within the client specifications to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction
    • Think strategically about client needs by quickly gaining an understanding of their business, their organization, operating environment and key risks
    • Drive results and change during a client engagement
    • Prepare correspondence, reports, client summaries and presentations outlining findings, facts and highlights resulting from the client engagement
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas and project metrics
    • Perform team management and coordination to align project resources and activities to project work plans
    • Manage project financials (i.e. use of resources, budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
    • Promote MNP consulting services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
    • Active involvement in the business community to build a relationship network
    • Provide leadership and subject matter experience in proposal development and solution design
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness

    Credentials

    • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in business or other related field
    • Completion of a Master’s Degree is considered an asset
    • Process Improvement or Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience is a must
    • Two (2) to four (4) years of management consulting experience
    • Completion of additional certifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2, CBAP)
    • Deep knowledge in performance improvement frameworks and ability to coach and mentor team members on methodologies
    • Strong financial and analytical capability
    • Demonstrated experience and success in Change Management
    • Prior experience in leading client meetings and planning account strategy
    • Experience in proposal development
    • A developed network within the business community is considered a strong asset
    • Travel may be required
