    Join the momentum. We are seeking an Analyst for our growing Consulting team. Driving business excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Consulting team works with organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to provide innovative strategies tailored to maximize efficiencies, enhance performance and increase profitability.  Specifically, our recognized Consulting team works with clients to translate business opportunities and challenges into solutions that provide meaningful results that meet organizational needs. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Assist in the proposal, planning, and implementation of consulting engagements across management consulting and technology projects
    • Assist with complex and detailed work involving the research, collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data for the purpose of proposing, planning, and implementing business improvements across all service lines and niches in the private, public, not-for-profit and Aboriginal sectors
    • Perform financial analysis, business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program re-deigns and other forms of consulting
    • Complete business processing mapping and analysis with a focus on improving outcomes
    • Complete business and program assessments focused around people, process and technology identifying potential issues and risks
    • Coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders consistent with project plans
    • Deliver formal presentations and reports for client engagements and industry presentations
    • Develop positive working relationships with clients at the peer and management level
    • Support the delivery of high-level client service to ensure client needs and requests on matters related to business development and projects are responded to in a timely, accurate and professional manner
    • Support the design, development, formatting and proof reading of high-quality professional reports, proposals, engagement letters and correspondence
    • Coordinate workflow and perform tasks related to proposal creation, production, and delivery
    • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi task and manage multiple priority within tight deadlines
    • Ability to conduct and consolidate research and associated analytics
    • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Raise awareness of MNP at community events
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop your consulting knowledge
    • Complete other consulting support tasks as required

     

    Credentials

    • Undergraduate Degree or other combination of advanced post-secondary training and relevant professional experience
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • A demonstrated knowledge of general business principles with general knowledge of finance, marketing, planning, human resources, technology and operations
    • Previous experience or training in project management and business analysis is an asset
    • Previous work experience in a consulting and/or professional services environment is an asset
    • Experience working in a in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, the ability to distinguish between the cause and symptoms of problems to identify options and the associated implications, to recognize the significance and impact of decisions and/or actions and a demonstrated willingness to seek assistance and advice where appropriate
    • The ability to prioritize and manage variable work demands to meet deadlines
    • Some travel may be required
    • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
