    Join the momentum. We are seeking an Accounting Administrator for our growing Administration team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Strategically supporting the firm, our Administration team anticipates the needs of our team members and Partners. We effectively communicate information for service lines, industry and specialty groups, and operations at all levels throughout the firm. Our administrators support initiatives and ensure efficiency, allowing MNP to better serve our clients and people.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Review and approve expense reports and ensure expenses are in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
    • Review and code invoices with correct coding; obtain proper approvals for each invoice and process in the Accounts Payable system
    • Correspond with vendors ensuring accounts are up-to-date; obtain missing invoices
    • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for Partners
    • Complete WIP adjustments and distribute invoices to clients and follows up with outstanding accounts
    • Respond to clients’ and employees’ inquiries in a timely manner
    • Process cheque and credit card payments for clients
    • Prepare daily bank deposits
    • Add new client engagements to our systems
    • Prepare and print billings for Partners and Managers as required
    • Assist team members with administrative tasks as required

    Credentials

    • Completion of post-secondary education in Accounting or Business would be an asset
    • Two to three years experience, with a focus on Administration and/or Finance
    • Experience in a professional services industry is considered an asset
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
