    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing Investigative and Forensics team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Forensics team combines accounting and investigative expertise to resolve fraud emergencies. Our professionals conduct assessments that gauge an organization’s vulnerability to fraud and help implement anti-fraud controls to reduce exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.



    Performance Expectations

    • Responsible for the execution of client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support and proactive risk assessments with a wide variety of clients, industries, and disputes
    • Manage forensic accounting engagements including: Fraud investigation, dispute resolution, anti-fraud training, money-laundering, calculating and analyzing economic loss claims and tracing funds/accounts
    • Assist with the development of independent expert reports
    • Assist with drafting of memorandums and reports which may be used in various situations including court or other tribunals
    • Attend client meetings
    • Prepare investigative plans on sensitive litigious matters and objectively analyze complex financial matters
    • Analyze financial data, examine documents, conduct in-depth research and manage Forensic engagements such as contract disputes, asset misappropriation, Forensic accounting and conflicts of interest
    • Manage project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing)
    • Planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements
    • Perform needs assessments and manage the collection, development, research and analysis of data
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas and deadlines
    • Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Quality review of work, delivery and provide feedback to team members
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
    • Leverage team appropriately
    • Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of files
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Attend networking events and raise awareness of MNP including identification of new business development opportunities
    • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Develop, coach, and train team members towards professional and personal development
    • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement


    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
    • Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation
    • DIFA (Diploma in Investigative & Forensic Accounting), MFacc and/or IFA designation is an asset, Graduate diploma DESS or equivalent
    • CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) and CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is an asset
    • Five (5) to fifteen (15) years of experience in public accounting or industry, Forensic experience is a must
    • Or minimum of four (4) years in Forensics or similar)
    • Ability to achieve Reliability level Government of Canada security screening
    • Experience in business and practice development is considered an asset
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English;
    • Some travel may be required
