    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our growing Forensics team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our recognized Forensics team combines accounting and investigative expertise to resolve fraud emergencies as well as disputes. Our professionals conduct assessments that gauge an organization’s vulnerability to fraud and help implement anti-fraud controls to reduce exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.


    Performance Expectation

    • Responsible for the execution of client engagements assisting fraud investigations, litigation support and proactive risk assessments with a wide variety of clients, industries and disputes
    • Lead or assist with forensic engagements such as financial fraud investigations, fraud prevention, forensic accounting reviews, calculating and analyzing economic loss claims, providing advice, preparing financials and tracing funds/accounts
    • Review and/or execute the development of independent expert financial reports
    • Plan and provide guidance related to reports of engagements and contribute to deliverables
    • Execute investigative plans on sensitive litigious matters and objectively analyze complex financial matters
    • Analyze financial data, examine documents, conduct in-depth research and interviews and lead Forensic engagements such as contract disputes, asset misappropriation and conflicts of interest
    • Manage project financials (i.e. budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
    • Planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements
    • Perform needs assessments and lead the collection, development, research and analysis of data
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client
    • Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members; provide feedback to team members
    • Monitor project timelines against targets
    • Promote MNP advisory services through activities such as the delivery of presentations or participating in community activities
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
    • Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
    • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptly
    • Promote regular attendance and balanced lifestyle
    • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews


    • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
    • Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation
    • Completion of the Investigative and Forensic Accountant (IFA) program or the MFacc (considered an asset)
    • Nine (9) to fifteen (15) years of experience in a public accounting; previous experience in advisory or consulting is considered an asset
    • Ability to achieve Enhanced Reliability level Government of Canada security screening
    • Experience in business and practice development is considered an asset
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Bilingualism is an asset
    • Some travel may be required
