    Join the momentum. We are seeking a BC Leader/Senior Manager to lead the British Columbia market for our growing Cyber Security Services team. Protecting businesses’ best interests, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Cyber Security team helps identify, evaluate and manage risk exposure to protect a company’s reputation and assets. Specifically, our team identifies and addresses cyber security challenges, tests the resiliency against cyber-attacks, assists with IT governance and strategy, reviews and advises on defensive controls and offers advice on information security and privacy for all types of clients.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Deliver industry and technical expertise in information security through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and the creation of high quality deliverables
    • Execute transactions through the provision of client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements
    • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality and deadlines
    • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
    • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
    • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
    • Develop business relationships through contacts and drive Cyber Security opportunities with existing MNP clients
    • Monitor project timelines against targets and adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status
    • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional and business community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Develop, coach and train team members towards professional and personal development
    • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews
    • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement

    Credentials

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field
    • Completion of CISSP, CISA, CISM and/or other related certifications
    • Minimum five (5) years of experience in security and privacy services 
    • Minimum five (5) years of experience defining and implementing cyber security services and solutions
    • Excellent understanding of Cyber Security services (penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, TRA’s, PCI, etc.) and solutions (NGFW, IPS, 2-factor authentication, SIEM, networking etc.), including architecting, configuration and installation
    • Experience with creating and delivering Cyber Security services (i.e.TRAs, PCI, Pen Testing, Cyber Maturity Assessments, Cyber Security Risk Assessments for Cloud, Incident Response/Forensics, etc.) 
    • Understanding of Security and Privacy regulatory/legislative compliance (i.e. OSFI, Interac, PCI, PIPEDA, etc.) 
    • Understanding of IT security and governance frameworks, such as ISO 27001/2 and COBIT
    • Experience with architecting, configuration and delivering technology-based controls
    • Experience in business and practice development
    • Security Clearance considered an asset
    • Some travel required
