    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing Infrastructure Advisory Services team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for infrastructure projects in various sectors. Our project specialists take a client centric approach to project delivery and are given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and expertise on a diverse range of projects of varying scope and complexity. We provide clients with insight and solutions to address their infrastructure and capital asset management needs and challenges, as well as guidance to help our clients make informed decisions that will put them ahead of the competition.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Provide and support project planning, pre-development, project management and contract administration services delivery on projects related to the acquisition, repair and maintenance of capital assets and infrastructure associated with housing, healthcare, education and other related infrastructure and buildings
    • Discuss project priorities and challenges with clients and develop integrated and comprehensive project workplans and schedules
    • Develop the project schedule and other project documentation in line with the project methodology
    • Prepare project cost estimates and budgets, funding requests and related applications
    • Forecast monthly cash flows and revenue, complete monthly project and financial reporting and client invoicing
    • Initiate the request for proposals process, tendering and other competitive procurement and technical services selection procedures; oversee the tendering process, as required
    • Actively manage projects and contracts on a day to day basis to ensure that project outputs are being delivered on schedule, to budget and to the required quality
    • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of healthy and safe workplace practices, requirements and applicable building codes and legislation, including occupational health and safety, WHMIS and hazardous substances programs
    • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with all members of the project delivery team and operations team
    • Communicate research with project lead
    • Find innovative solutions to meet client needs and identify and propose additional services for existing clients
    • Create and complete detailed status, progress and completion reporting for clients, funding agencies, regulatory bodies and team members
    • Deliver clear and well-written deliverables; communicate issues and rationales with practical recommendations for value conclusions

    Credentials

    • Completion of a Diploma or Degree in relevant planning, engineering or construction project management disciplines
    • Completion of, or working towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred (if not yet obtained, PMP certification will be needed within twelve (12) months of start date)
    • Minimum three (3) years of relevant infrastructure and capital asset planning and project management experience
    • Expertise in new construction, retrofit and renovations and complex infrastructure construction projects
    • Technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems and terminology
    • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications
    • Professional or personal experience working with First Nations and other indigenous organizations and businesses
    • Working knowledge of the diverse Indigenous community including relevant legislation, government structures, programs, rights and current issues
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
    • Willing and able to travel regularly to client sites, in both scheduled and unscheduled circumstances
