    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Consultant for our growing Indigenous Services team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 250 Indigenous clients and 300 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firm has invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs of Indigenous communities.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    • Assist in the delivery of consulting services such as strategic and operational planning, the design of programs and services improvements, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure development, project management and other forms of management consulting
    • Support proposal development along with the implementation, administration and completion of client engagements
    • Perform complex and detailed research, interpretation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data for the purpose of delivering high-quality client service
    • Participate in research through the collection, development and analysis of data through online content, report review, interviews, focus groups, surveys and administrative data
    • Design, develop, format and proof-read professional reports, proposals, presentations and correspondence
    • Ensure delivery of high-quality client service products
    • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services and clientele through experiential learning with clients
    • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes while effectively using MNP internal programs and systems
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement

    Credentials

    • Completion of a certification in project management or other related field and/or completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, planning, environmental studies or other related field
    • Completion of a Master’s Degree or equivalent in any of the above disciplines is considered an asset
    • Three (2) to five (3) years of business, planning or related consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
    • Professional or personal experience working with First Nations and other indigenous organizations and businesses
    • Working knowledge of the diverse Indigenous community including relevant legislation, government structures, programs, rights and current issues
    • Experience in business development in a consulting context is considered an asset
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Travel for project delivery and for business development will be required
