    Join the momentum. We are seeking a Financial Analytics Analyst to join our growing Finance team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Providing strategic financial leadership throughout the firm, our Finance team supports services to achieve MNP’s business objectives. We deliver transaction processing, reporting and analytics to support all aspects of the firm and manage all financial activities with expertise and precision.



    Performance Expectations

    • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to provide insightful analysis that is action-oriented and aligned with strategic objectives. Significant focus is placed on continuous innovation, utilizing analytical tools to provide data driven insights
    • Prepare management reports that contain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of moderate to advanced complexity
    • Gather strategic insights from financial and operational data and present findings to Business Leaders
    • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative where appropriate, and manage small projects from requirements gathering through to completion with minimal supervision
    • Contribute to MNP’s budgeting and forecasting process
    • Develop and document processes while incorporating Budget & Finance best practices
    • Provide support to Regional Managing Partners, Service Line Leaders and Executives
    • Maintain a solid understanding of systems to support analysis and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis
    • Contribute within a team environment and demonstrate leadership potential
    • Demonstrate the ability to develop strong professional relationships in order to help achieve FP&A and firm goals
    • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Raise awareness of MNP at community events
    • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop your financial and analytical knowledge


    • Completion of a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), or a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field
    • A professional accounting designation is an asset.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience working in a financial analysis role
    • Intermediate to advanced experience with KPI and report development and analysis
    • Experience with budgeting and strategic planning
    • Intermediate to advanced system application skills
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Tableau or Power BI (DAX), One Stream, Hyperion, Excel, and PowerPoint. Capabilities in Visual Basic, Python, or R would be considered an asset
    • Experience working in a Professional Services environment considered an asset
