    Join the momentum. We are currently seeking a Manger for our growing Family Office Services team. Driving business excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm providing dedicated expertise to families and business owners throughout Canada. Our Family Office Services team of professionals informs, educates and navigates clients through key life events through strategic planning, wealth reporting and analysis and family governance.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Performance Expectations

    Strategic Financial Planning

    • Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, provide sophisticated financial planning advice to clients
    • Identify complex financial planning needs and solutions for clients by considering the client's wealth, life goals and other objectives
    • Gather all required information and prepare integrated and complex financial planning reports for clients
    • Perform in-depth analyses on specific aspects of financial planning including estate planning, philanthropy, investments, insurance and business succession
    • Develop recommendations and identify areas of opportunity to assist clients in achieving their financial goals
    • Stay abreast of changes in tax and estate planning laws and other legislation and their impact on client planning strategies
    • Assist in the development of articles, marketing materials and other documents

    Family Office Administration

    • Coordinate client and family meetings including preparing detailed agendas and post-meeting summaries
    • Lead the preparation of consolidated reporting of family net worth including reporting of wealth over all investment portfolios
    • Prepare client reports for regular update meetings with families
    • Assist in the development of family governance plans and policies
    • Liaise directly with clients, their legal advisors, investment managers and other outside professionals, as needed

    Credentials

    • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably with a specialization in Accounting or Finance
    • Completion of a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
    • Completion of a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset
    • Minimum five (5) years of industry experience working with complex high net worth families
    • An aptitude for math combined with a strong knowledge of trust, estate planning, tax planning, insurance and complex planning
    • Previous experience working with financial planning software
    • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Regular travel within Ontario (primarily within the GTA) and occasionally within Canada is required
