Join the momentum. We are currently seeking a Manager for our growing EASE Cloud Accounting Services team. Driving business excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Cloud Accounting Services professionals are revolutionizing the professional services industry through the use of cutting-edge technology. Our innovative, cloud-based accounting software allows us to deliver a full suite of outsourced services to our clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting and payroll administration.



Performance Expectations

  • Oversee and monitor quality of bookkeeping engagements and resolve any issues in technology or team member performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies
  • Supervise and be able to perform the set-up of client files, completion of budgets and administrative planning and other aspects of accounting work
  • Supervise the reconciliation of GL accounts, including but not limited to cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany and point of sale (POS) / system uploads
  • Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with engagement partners to develop resolutions
  • Support the assessment and onboarding of new team members with new clients, as required
  • Develop and maintain high proficiency with accounting software and provide support to clients and team members
  • Supervise and assess workload of cloud accounting bookkeepers ensuring that all procedures are carried out in an efficient and effective manner
  • Develop, coach and train team members towards professional and personal development
  • Develop an understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
  • Recommend, implement and identify new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Raise awareness of MNP at community events
  • Attend internal MNP courses to further develop cloud accounting knowledge
  • Liaise with the EASE Centre of Excellence office team members as well as leadership
  • Present internally and externally on the EASE service line


  • Completion of a certificate or diploma in business or accounting is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of trial balances, general ledger (GL) databases, financial statement close processes and accounting matters
  • Advanced understanding of payroll, bookkeeping and record keeping practices on manual and computerized system(s) is an asset
  • Experience working with, or exposure to, accounting software such as QBO, Xero, or Sage Business Cloud is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Exceptional computer literacy including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some travel may be required
